Background Information: Designed by the famous Cleveland architect Charles F. Schwinfurth (1858-1919). Schwinfurth was know for providing clients with unusually high quality work. Besides building the bridges over MLK Jr. Parkway, he designed many structures for Cleveland Millionaires. Built in 1899. Made of Brick, stone, and concrete. The cost of building the bridge was $61,164. This bridge crosses Doan Brook and was designed to handle a 50 ton street car load. Source: Bridges of Metropolitan Cleveland.
